Point at the object the move actually uses
Abyssal Escape controls depend on the action you are performing. For a targeted Killer move, first select or aim at the intended Survivor or world object, then activate the ability. Pressing the move without the relevant target can produce a different result from the one you intended.
Keep that selection step separate from your movement. Knowing how to approach a location does not tell the ability which television, ring or Survivor you meant to choose.
Use the ring and television examples correctly
X can travel to rings he has already placed. Release coverage describes clicking, touching or using D-pad up on the intended ring to teleport to it. Choose the destination you want before confirming; another ring across the map is a different travel decision.
NMI's early television travel also depends on selecting a screen. His interaction changes when he exits or selects another television, and the late hedgehog form removes that travel option altogether. A missing television interaction after the transformation should not be treated as proof that your controller stopped working.
Learn the current kit rather than guessing every binding
Use the prompts for the role and device you are actually playing. This reference covers contextual targeting; it does not turn a few examples into a universal keyboard layout or a claim that every device supports every feature.
