The ring is the destination, not another mist objective
The Abyssal Escape escape ring is the Survivor exit described for the final minute of the clock. It is highlighted so you can identify the destination. Reaching and touching it before time expires completes the escape action; seeing the marker alone does not finish the task.
Keep it distinct from X's harmful placed rings. Those belong to the Killer's trap and travel kit, not the team's exit objective.
Move toward the actual highlight
When the exit is available, connect its marker to the route you can use now. Do not assume the ring always appears at a memorized coordinate or that a route from a different map will take you there. Pick your next landmark and move with that destination in mind.
A movement ability can help you reach a better position, but it does not choose the route for you. Avoid spending it on an unnecessary detour just because the exit has not yet become urgent in your mind.
Keep enough of your plan for the approach
Another mist interaction may have been useful earlier, but the last part of the round is about leaving. Reassess an optional rescue or extra objective against the route and time you have, rather than continuing the previous task automatically.
