Abyssal Escape Arm Cannon: Ranged Knockback and Separation
Arm Cannon
- Arm Cannon fires a ranged projectile.
- Release coverage describes knockback around its impact.
- A ranged disruption should not automatically be counted as a stun.
Aim for the opening you want to create
Abyssal Escape Arm Cannon is a ranged Survivor option. Release coverage describes its impact as knocking the Killer away, including an area around the impact. Choose the shot for a positional purpose: create separation, relieve immediate pressure or help make a route usable.
A projectile is not useful merely because it was fired. Connect the target and the expected opening to the movement you or a teammate should make afterward.
Keep knockback distinct from a stun
Some prelaunch descriptions group ranged abilities under stun language. The later Arm Cannon description emphasizes knockback. Those effects can both disrupt pursuit, but they are not identical promises about how long the Killer loses control.
Do not assume the double-stun restriction applies solely because the ability uses a projectile. Likewise, do not copy a damage value, area radius or guaranteed interrupt from an older build without current support. The useful comparison here is the role: ranged separation rather than a close-range defensive commitment.
Give the second slot another job
If Arm Cannon is your disruption choice, consider what happens when you cannot get the shot you want. Movement, timed defense or recovery can address different situations. Choose the missing job instead of adding a second move merely because its animation also looks powerful.
The Abyssal Escape Survivor abilities guide compares those roles. Use it to turn the shot's opening into a build decision that still makes sense when the chase changes.
