Abyssal Escape Heroic Boost: Movement and Teammate Carrying

Last updated 2026-10-18Unofficial player article

Heroic Boost

  • Heroic Boost offers fast movement.
  • It can also carry a teammate.
  • A carry needs a destination and a useful reason to commit.

Choose the job before activating the boost

Abyssal Escape Heroic Boost combines personal movement with the option to carry a teammate. Those uses support different immediate goals. You may need to leave pursuit yourself, or you may choose to help another Survivor reach a better position. Decide which job matters before spending the ability.

Abyssal Escape: Heroic BoostDecide whether this boost is your escape or a commitment to help a teammate.

Fast movement is useful because of where it takes you. Pick a route that answers the pressure rather than assuming speed alone will complete the escape.

Treat a carry as a team decision

When you carry someone, agree on a destination when possible. Moving a teammate away from one threat is more useful when they understand where the two of you are going and what should happen afterward. An objective approach and the final escape are different destinations.

Do not treat carrying as a promise of invulnerability or a free rescue from every position. Notice the route and the threat before committing. The recommendation is to make the help purposeful, not to use the team function whenever another player is nearby.

Build around the opening it creates

Heroic Boost already provides a movement role, so consider whether the second slot should handle defense, recovery or disruption. Another mobility option reinforces the same need while leaving less coverage elsewhere.

The Abyssal Escape ability tier list gives Heroic Boost its leading editorial grade for escape utility and teammate help. Read the stated scope before treating that grade as a universal instruction for every player or matchup.
