Abyssal Escape Camouflage: Concealment and Routes
Camouflage
- Camouflage is a concealment option built around blending with the surroundings.
- It is different from a direct movement escape.
- Do not assume concealment means invulnerability or immunity to tracking.
Make the surroundings part of the decision
Abyssal Escape Camouflage emphasizes blending into the environment. That asks a different question from a movement ability: where can concealment help your current plan, and where will you go if the Killer continues toward you? Choose the position with both questions in mind.
Concealment can support a plan, but the ability name does not establish total invisibility to every detection mechanic. Treat the actual threat in front of you as relevant even after you activate it.
Keep a response when concealment is not enough
If pursuit continues, recover the route you planned instead of waiting in place because you expected the ability to solve the whole encounter. Your next movement and remaining stamina still matter. A nearby teammate clearing mist is also part of that route decision; avoid bringing pressure directly onto them when another path is available.
During the exit window, concealing your presence and reaching the ring are different tasks. Do not let a stationary plan consume the time you need to finish leaving.
Compare its role honestly
Camouflage receives a situational grade in this site's escape-utility comparison because it asks for environmental judgment rather than directly providing movement or recovery. That does not make it unusable. It means the player must value the concealment task within their chosen build.
