Abyssal Escape Weak Punch: Close-Range Interruption

Last updated 2026-10-18Unofficial player article

Weak Punch

  • Weak Punch provides a close-range stun or interruption.
  • The opening still needs a movement decision afterward.
  • Equipping another stun introduces the described duration penalty.

Close range is part of the commitment

Abyssal Escape Weak Punch offers a close-range interruption against the Killer. Unlike a ranged option, it asks you to act near the threat. Recognize that commitment before choosing it as the answer to every difficult pursuit.

A later launch-era guide names Weak Punch among starter choices. Check the actual menu for current availability instead of combining starter lists from different versions into one permanent unlock claim.

Use the opening for a purpose

Before the punch, decide where you want to move if the interruption succeeds. Remaining nearby wastes the separation you were trying to create. A useful route can take you away from immediate pressure without carrying that pressure into teammates working on mist.

The ability does not make every approach safe or establish a guaranteed interruption of every special move. Keep the actual attack and the distance in view rather than relying on a guessed universal reach or stun duration.

Choose the second slot with the restriction in mind

Two equipped stun abilities shorten both stun durations in the described system. A second interruption may therefore add less than you expect, while a movement or support role gives the build a different task.

The Abyssal Escape double-stun guide explains that tradeoff. It also distinguishes stuns from knockback and sprint denial so you do not apply the restriction merely because another move can disrupt a chase.
