Treat the moves as three different tools
Abyssal Escape 2011X uses the underlying X/The Deity kit. Do not judge the whole kit by a single attack: Hide and Seek helps you locate and approach, rings add map control, and Peekaboo creates a specific encounter with the targeted Survivor.
Choose the move for the problem in front of you. Revealing a distant player and reaching that player are connected tasks, but they are not the same result.
Place a ring with a later destination in mind
Ring Trap leaves a hostile ring where X stands. Contact is dangerous to Survivors, while X can select a placed ring to travel to it. A useful placement therefore has both an immediate location and a possible later route attached to it.
Before placing one, ask why you would want to return there. An objective approach or a route you expect to revisit gives the placement a purpose. This is map-control advice, not a claim that every doorway or objective guarantees a catch.

Respect the risk inside Peekaboo
Peekaboo surrounds the targeted Survivor with deceptive figures and the real X. The described outcome rewards reaching the real Killer and punishes the wrong response. It is not simply a button that should be assumed to deliver free damage every time.
