Make pursuit serve the match objective

The Abyssal Escape Killer wants to catch Survivors before they escape. A chase matters because it creates that opportunity, not simply because it lasts a long time. While one player occupies you, other Survivors can clear mist and shorten the clock. Notice when a pursuit is helping the team you are trying to stop.

Detection and mobility are tools for recovering pressure. Use a revealed position to choose a target you can actually approach, rather than spending the entire reveal watching a distant marker. An objective area can be worth revisiting when Survivors are committing to stationary work.

Pick a kit whose demands you want to learn

X, also called The Deity, combines detection, rings and deception. Furnace asks you to manage Heat. Fleetway mixes flight, ranged aim and grabbing. NMI changes from television-based deception into a direct late-round kit, while 2017X develops from rushdown into Beast Form. These are different learning tasks, not interchangeable versions of the same attack.

Reconsider the chase after evolution

A new phase can change which approach makes sense. Furnace's later Heat behavior affects resource planning; a transformed NMI loses television travel; 2017X gains a different set of attacks. Learn what the actual change gives you instead of waiting for a phase number to win the round by itself.

Keep stamina in the plan as well. Spending every available ability at the first sight of a Survivor can leave you with fewer choices when you reach them. Use one move for a specific purpose, then decide what the next position requires.
